| Ex- GBW #308 has been sold in operating condition by the KB&S RR
to a private owner, who plans to restore it to the GBW's classic red and
gray paint scheme.
Gary Baloun of B & K Engineering has purchased ex GBW #308 from the Kankakee, Beaverville & Southern Railroad. He is looking for photos, slides, and videos of #308 in action on the GBW, especially in the red/gray scheme -- he plans on eventually painting the locomotive back into the classic GBW red and gray paint scheme. The locomotive is stored in operating condition at the the Monticello Railway Museum in Monticello, Ill. |
