| GBW #319 in the summer of 1999. Here is ex-GBW #319; it was a rainy day and not great for photos the day Ed Bowers visited in 1999. This ex-Pennsylvania locomotive (#2415) is unique not only because it was Pennsy's only C-424 on their roster, but also because it started life as ALCO RS-27 demonstrator #640-1. After the demonstration tour ended and Alco's Century line of locomotive power was introduced it was rebuilt as a C-424 using the RS-27 electrical equipment and then sold to the Pennsylvania Railroad.
